What is that box of words I see in the right hand side of BeadingDaily or KnittingDaily.com?
A tag is a word or phrase that helps you find posts, projects or patterns with similar content. In a tag cloud, the size of the tag represents how many items have been tagged with that word or phrase. Tags are usually single words and are typically listed alphabetically, and the importance of a tag is shown with a larger font size. When you click on a tag, it links to a collection of items that are associated with that tag. By clicking on another tag on the results page, you begin to narrow, or "filter" your search.
For Example:
Clicking on the Tag "Pullovers" may present a list of results (for example 20 results), and a second tag cloud. When you select another word, such as "Men" the result list is narrowed to 5 entries.
I am having trouble signing on to the Beading Daily and/or Knitting Daily website! Please help!

I see strange symbols instead of regular text and graphics after downloading a PDF!
There may be a problem in how your computer is trying to open the PDF. Try saving the file first and then opening it up directly in Adobe Acrobat, rather than in your web browser.
Also - please make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I'm having problems printing my download to my printer.
1. First check your printer settings when trying to print. On the left hand side of the print menu there is a section that says "Print to File", this needs to be unchecked.
2. Check to make sure that you have the correct printer selected before attempting to print, once the print menu comes up.
3. Restart your computer and then print a PDF file. If the file prints correctly, your system may have been out of memory or resources.
4. If the PDF was slow to download, it will probably be slow to print. You might be able to check the printer status on your computer and make sure that the file is being sent to the printer.
5. Try setting the print quality at normal or economy rather than best quality or reduce dpi to 150 rather than 300 dpi. These settings are selected in the printer setup or printer options.
6. Try closing all other programs on your computer and opening the PDF file directly in Adobe Acrobat and not in your web browser.

I'm on WebTV or MSNTV2 and I am unable to access the patterns.
According to the folks at MSNTV2 (formerly WebTV), you can not download or view .pdfs via their browser. Unfortunately, due to the ever increasing number of patterns and the amount of detail required to provide a comprehensive pattern, a .pdf document delivery system is our best option for delivering patterns. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

When I try to download a PDF, I get a drawing error notification.
When you are getting a drawing error, it means that your version of Adobe Acrobat doesn't have the ability to view the PDF. Please update your Adobe to the newest version. To do that, you:
1) Open Adobe Acrobat Reader
2) Click on "Help"
3) Go down to "Check for updates."
If you get a notification that there are updates available - download them. That will help!

I tried to download Adobe but had issues?
Adobe asks that the following steps are taken:
1. Make sure that your Internet connection is stable.
2. Try downloading when there is less Internet activity.
3. Increase your available disk space.
4. Set security option to the default level (Internet Explorer only)
5. Disable or remove download, firewall, or proxy software.
