    Springtime

     Hi,

It is now spring in South Africa, for me the most wonderful time of the year. I don't want to go to work, I want to spend all my time in the garden, putting in new plants, dividing others. Unfortunately this can only be a dream - cannot do without the pay from the full-time job. At least I can water the plants in the afternoon and spend time in the garden on Saturdays.

Currently not beading that much, busy making a dress for my daughter - she is a maid of honour on a friends wedding, but luckily this will also be done in a week or so - can only do some sewing after work, so it takes a bit longer.

Don't you just love (or hate) that about spring?  Seems like every day is just filled with possibilities, except that darned 9-5 gets in the way.

I was a real slacker this year and didn't do any gardening other than weed what  was already here when we moved in.  Next year I'm definitely planting flowers!

hmm.. cannot talk much about spring because we only have 3 seasons here. Dry, wet and the another one is wedding season. The last one not really supposed to call as season, but i prefer call it as season because in one month i can get more than 10 wedding invitation cards. lol

It's Autumn here and today is really nice. It's about 70 with a nice breeze blowing. It feels so good that I am going to blow the day off and clean up my truck. It's black and black is hell to keep clean. I just might install some more speakers that I have too since it is so nice out. I have to pick up another amp for the subwoofer, but I have 4 speakers on the head unit's 45W per channel and am installing 4 more on an old Majestic 50W per on 4 channels. That will take care of all of the mids and highs, but I need a single amp for the 12" sub that I have to go in it. I'm doing all of this so that I can still use the back seat, and that is the real pain. The sub is just laying in the back floorboard now, but it doesn't have a very good sound in the open air.

    Re: Springtime

It is early fall here in SE Michigan. The leaves are turning but it is more so up north from here.

We here in Michigan joke that we only have two seasons here. Snow and orange barrels. All kidding aside. We have all four seasons here. The four seasons was what I miss when we were stationed in places like AZ, TX and FL.

I truely think fall is my favorite season. Other than all the leasves hidding my golf balls I love to play golf in the fall. Put on a nice pair of slacks, long sleeve shirt and sweater over that and I am good to go. Breathe in the fresh clean cool fall air..... Think I'll go hit a few balls. That is if the rain has stopped for the day.

     Hi Silverior,

I cannot say that we had a wonderful springtime upto now. The reason being our yearly August wind, which are usually late and normally ends somewhere in September, but this year is the worst, because we are still experiencing August wind halfway into October. We had no rain yet - because of the wind. Luckily I did not wait for the first rains to fall before I started to sort out my garden, because my grass is already a nice deep green, and the rest of the garden looks ready for summertime.

I cannot tell you a lot about Africa. One thing I can say is that South Africa is a wonderful country and definitely worth a visit. There was a lot of changes during the last couple of years and we are still in a sort of transition phase, a lot of people still live in rural parts were there is almost no development, e.g roads / electricity / communication lines. It is hard to imagine how they manage day to day living without these basic things, which a lot of people take for granted.

I thought South Africa is the wealthiest country in Africa, and really do not know that some part of it still do not touch by development yet.
