Hello from Canada. I just join this morning and am enjoying this beading community. But help! I have to make a Christmas ornament for our annual exchange. Last year I beaded a few "necklaces" in Christmas colours and glued them on a pillar candle. The effect was nice. This year I am looking for an ornament pattern. Thanks in advance.

Hi Gema and welcome from Baton Rouge.  There are a lot of nice, helpful people here.  What kind of ornament would you like to do?  Someone made me an 'icicle' one year.  It was a heavy wire and had a curlique on top (to hang from the branch) and then a line of white and clear beads with a loop at the bottom.  If you mean weaving the small seed beads to go over a colored Christmas ball, I'm sorry I can't help there.  I don't do any weaving with seed beads.  I'm sure others will come around and have suggestions, too.

welcome to Beading Daily Forum.

Ornament covers for minature christmas ornaments would be quick. (when I can't find the small christmas ornaments I use PingPong balls).

I am making some candle ornaments out of clear star beads on the bottom, all the same size Red star beads to form the candle. and a yellow tube bead on top(to simulate flame) copper wire from the hardware store to hold the beads and use as a hanger.

someone gave me one, and I am coping it for a small tree for the RV.:)

Good Luck with  your search.

Not to hype the "competition" or anything, but Bead & Button has several beaded ornament projects on their website.  A few are free and others cost money, and I believe all of them have been published in their magazine previously.  I was just looking at them this morning. Go to the "projects" tab and do a search for ornaments.

This might help [not a link, cut and paste]:  http://beadingdaily.com/forums/p/4921/51826.aspx#51826   or go to bead chat, there are many ideas there for earrings, which could be adapted for ornaments -- I remember seeing a 'Santa Claus' made with brick stitch in there.
